My pain point

After learning from YouTube videos, I have some ideas on how to create an app from scratch using AI, so I started thinking about what my first app should be.

I thought about recent pain points in my life that could be solved by an app.

The first thing that came to mind was my daily commute home. I often wait for my bus, and I don’t like waiting too long, especially when I miss it. The next bus might take 20–30 minutes to arrive. What I want is an app that notifies me when to leave my workplace for the bus stop. Since I need to walk about 5 minutes to reach the bus stop, if the bus is arriving at 7 PM, I want the app to notify me 5 minutes earlier. This way, when I reach the bus stop, the waiting time should be one minute or less. That’s my initial app idea.

Here’s how the app should work: I set a schedule with start and end times for monitoring a particular bus. For example, I set it for weekdays, Monday to Friday. The app will automatically monitor the bus from 6 PM to 7 PM in this one-hour window. It activates this monitoring system automatically without requiring any action from me. The app captures my current location and calculates the walking distance to the bus stop, factoring this into its notifications. When a bus is approaching—the app sends two alerts. The first notification comes about 6–7 minutes early, telling me to prepare to leave, giving me time to pack up. The second alert tells me it’s time to leave. The app then tracks my location—if I’m not moving toward the bus stop, it switches to monitoring the next bus. If I am moving, it continues monitoring the bus arrival time and my walking progress. If the bus is arriving earlier than expected, it notifies me to walk faster. Once I reach the bus stop, the notifications stop.
