Combine the wardrobe and the laundry yard
Whenever my wife puts the dry clothes on the bed, sometimes I don’t put them in the wardrobe immediately. I’d delay for a few days, and then I realised there’s a pattern: I tend to pick my clothes from there instead of from the wardrobe. The upside is that I need to fold fewer clothes. It’s more efficient this way, right?
So I came to think: why don’t we remove the wardrobe altogether, so we have the additional space instead? I just need to make the laundry area bigger. When the washing machine is done, you just hang the clothes on the pole in the laundry area, and that’s it. That will be our wardrobe. Whenever we need new clothes, we’ll just go there and collect them. Isn’t that amazing?
Think about the space. We don’t need both the wardrobe space and the laundry yard space, because you only have one set of clothes. Either your clothes are in the laundry yard hanging up to dry, or, once they’re dry, they move to the wardrobe. When they move to the wardrobe, the laundry yard is empty, right? So why not combine these two spaces and use the space more efficiently?
Isn’t that a good idea?
